MUSLIM. The Bible says, “For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?” (II Samuel 22:32) And Deuteronomy 32:31 says, “For their rock is not as our Rock….” The Muslim religion, or Islam, was founded 600 years after Jesus Christ by Mohammed, and has a number of differences with Christianity. Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet as Mohammed was a prophet. They believe Jesus was the “Masih” (Messiah), born of a Jewish maiden named Mary through a miraculous virgin birth and that He will return someday,* but they do not believe Jesus Christ was divine, and they do not believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Islam believes Christ was created, but Christianity teaches Christ was the Creator, (See JESUS). Muslims do not believe Christ died on the cross, nor do they believe Christ resurrected (they believe He only ascended to Heaven). The vast majority of Muslims believe hell is a place of purification and that even Muslims go there for a while (Somewhat similar to the false belief of purgatory, see PURGATORY), but they believe that eventually even those in hell will be saved and go to paradise. The only way to be sure of missing hell is through “jihad”, and go into paradise where they believe virgins are waiting. But the Bible teaches that hell is “everlasting punishment”, and anyone who places his faith in Jesus Christ can go directly to heaven when he dies. Muslims can beat their wives (Qur’an 4:34, and 38:44), whereas Christianity teaches “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church and gave himself for it.” (Ephesians 5:25, see JESUS, *see ALIENS IN REVELATION. http://www.truechristianshortstoriesfreebygmmatheny.com/aliens-in-revelation.html)
The Qur'an contains over a 100 verses that calls for war with nonbelievers. "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them" Qur'an (8:12). Obviously the majority of Muslims do not practice this but if their religious book teaches killing infidels, then the radicals of that religion will be encouraged to do that! Nowhere in the New Testament does it teach killing those who disagree with us. The one time the subject came up Christ rebuke it. “And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem, And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him. And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem. And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.” (Luke 9:51-56) Though the Bible teaches there is “a time of war” (See WAR), Jesus Christ and His apostles never killed anyone!
ISLAM DID NOT BUILD AMERICA!
President Obama recently went to a Mosque (February 3, 2016), where he gave a brief history of Muslims in America. And on many occasions, Mr. Obama has spoken favorably about Islam. “We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over the centuries to shape the world—including in my own country” (to the Turkish Parliament April 6, 2009). “Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance” (At Cairo University, June 4, 2009). But the terrorist attacks around the world are by Muslims terrorists, not Buddhists, Jews, Hindus, or Christians. President Obama said, “I also know that Islam has always been a part of America’s story” (both at Cairo University, June 4, 2009; and a Ramadan meal, August 13, 2010). Even today Muslims only make up 1 percent of the total US population (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islam_in_the_United_States). By contrast, atheists are 3 percent (Pew Research Center, 2014). Would our president have said the above about atheism? Why does he not say the above about Christianity, which makes up two-thirds of the population of America? (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christianity_in_the_United_States).
One can find quotes where the president says something positive about Christianity online, but on many occasions President Obama has spoken against Christianity. When asked about gay marriages, he said, “If people find that controversial, then I would just refer them to the Sermon on the Mount, which I think is, in my mind, for my faith, more central than an obscure passage in Romans” (http://www.christianitytoday.com/gleanings/2008/march/obama-cites-sermon-on-mount-for-his-support-of-civil-unions.html). "Which passages of Scripture should guide our public policy? Should we go with Leviticus, which suggests slavery is OK and that eating shellfish is abomination? How about Deuteronomy, which suggests stoning your child if he strays from the faith? Or should we just stick to the Sermon on the Mount—a passage that is so radical that it's doubtful that our own Defense Department would survive its application?” (June 28, 2006, Call to Renewal). He never would have done this with the Quran. Mr. Obama should not assume there are problems with the Bible, but with his interpretation of it. Mr. Obama speaks favorably of the Quran, “as in the story of Isra, when Moses, Jesus, and Mohammed, peace be upon them, joined in prayer” (at Cairo University, June 4, 2009). Anyone who went to the Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s church (which promotes Liberation theology) as President Obama did for 20 years would have a skewed view of Christianity. Rev. Write cursed America from the pulpit and blamed 9/11 on America. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mk3LXvVlsI4). It should not be surprising that our president would makes such statements as, “I believe that there are many paths to the same place” (http://www.patheos.com/blogs/thedudeabides/obama-on-faith-the-exclusive-interview/, March 27, 2004). But Christ said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6). Our president has also said, “The sweetest sound I know is the Muslim call to prayer” (https://www.facebook.com/beingliberal.org/posts/10151738132906275, Cairo speech, 2008). These and other statements by Mr. Obama show an evident bias against Christianity and for Islam. I am glad he does not want to promote the hate of any religion, including Islam, but he should not forget the truth or stretch it.
