INTERRACIAL MARRIAGE
If a man from Ireland marries a woman from Germany, is it an interracial marriage? Yes, and Moses married an Ethiopian woman (Numbers 12:1). There are places in the Bible where God told His people not to marry other races, but that was because they had a false religion and would turn His people away from Him (Deuteronomy 7:1–4). We are all related back to Adam and Eve: “And hath made of one blood all nations of men” (Acts 17:26). The Bible tells us to marry those who are believers: “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers” (2 Corinthians 6:14); “The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord” (1 Corinthians 7:39). As in other things we are to have our parents’ consent: “Honour thy father and thy mother” (Exodus 20:12; see MARRIAGE).
