SPIRITUAL MAN
Some have the mistaken belief that all Christians are good, but the Bible tells us there are Christians who are carnal. “And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal” (1 Corinthians 3:1–3).
Paul was referring to the “meat” of God’s Word, and he said they could not handle it for they were still on the basic teachings, as “babes” who could only drink “milk.” We find a similar statement in Hebrews: “Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil” (Hebrews 5:11–14). There are Christians who have never grown in the Lord and will never grow because they are “unskilful in the word.” A person who is unskilled in the Bible does not study it (see STUDY). He will often allow many things into his life that a carnal person would do (Romans 12:2). And because of the life that he lives, many lost will use him as an excuse for why they do not get right with the Lord. Only they will call him not a baby Christian but a “hypocrite.”

“Little is much when God is in it”, concentrate on what God has given you! “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.” (Ecclesiastes 9:10)
